Covid-19 and 2020 changes

Price Increase

As the craziness of the Covid-19 response by the world continues, it’s economic effects are hammering us hard.

There was the usual price increase by the supplier at the beginning of the year. As is usual for us we haven’t increased our price until we had to purchase a new supply. Usually, we purchase a big order at the end of the year so we can keep the price down for a few months before we reorder. Unfortunately, we won’t be able to do that in the future. We are now forced to increase our price.

Delivery Fee

We were paying for half of the delivery as well, but the increase in the delivery fee and the financial effects of Covid-19 have forced us to stop that as well.

It is with deep sadness that we are forced to do this, but if we don’t we will not survive the rest of the year. Our sincerest apologies for this but it is beyond our control.

Product Line Changes

Another change is the scrapping of the refills.

We introduced this as a way to help the environment more than anything else. The idea was to buy the original first then buy the refill in subsequent orders. Unfortunately, this did not work out and customers were buying the refills at the start. This has lead to a number of problems from unmarked medication, incorrectly marked medication and the capsules going hard because they weren’t stored in a bottle.

We will only sell original, bottled Noster ProBiotics.

New Service

Probiotics are products that you take continually. We, and our entire family, Gran who is 85 downwards, take one daily. To make this easier for customers we have introduced a new service.

As a trial, we will be offering a 6 month supply with one month free.

How it will work is

  1. You purchase the service via credit card.
  2. You only pay for a single month but agree to a recurring monthly charge on your card
  3. Every month for the next 6 months you will be automatically charged on your card and we will deliver to your door.
  4. On the 7th month, we will send you a free order. As of writing around R300 saving.
